BIOGRAPHY

Music and the bass guitar has been a passion of mine since as young as I can remember....

I was born on the outskirts of London and grew up on a healthy diet of punk and rock music, introduced to me at young age during my school years. Idolising band such as The Clash and Guns & Roses I knew I wanted to perform and play music. One Christmas my parents bought me my first bass guitar and from there started my journey both learning the instrument and performing live.

Many years were spent on the punk and rock circuit in London and around the UK, playing with bands, recording and releasing songs that went on to gain positions in the UK download charts.

After moving to Newcastle, Australia and gaining a professional certificate from Berklee College Of Music's Online School, studying under the tutelage of players such as Danny 'Mo' Morris and Anthony Vitti, amongst others, I took my playing career in a more serious direction and established myself among the thriving music industry in both Newcastle and Australia wide. Touring nationally with a number of bands and performing for big name acts such as Dan Broadie and appearing at national festivals such as The Gumball, The Newtown Crawl and NANNUP. The opportunity came to tour internationally as well with appearances at the Miri Country Music festival in Borneo, Malaysia, in front of a crowd of thousands.

Inbetween touring I performed with various functions bands, blues acts and country bands and ran and MD'ed my own Motown / Soul band 'The 345's', where our reputation for tight grooves and entertaining live shows saw regular work within the Newcastle music scene.

In 2017 I moved back to London to begin studying a Performance & Production degree at LCCM (London College Of Creative Media) under world renowned tutors such as Geoff Gascoyne (Jamie Cullum), Silas Maitland (Imelda May) amongst others and majoring in jazz performance.

Whilst studying I began my career within the London music scene and industry. Working with country band James Chapman & The Blue Moon I have toured the length and width of the UK as well as Europe, played the UK summer festival circuit and frequented many of London's top end music venues with a variety of original and function bands, as well as establishing myself within the jazz scene playing with the Hot Club Of Blackheath trad. jazz quintet.

Along with playing live and working as a session player I have also established myself as a teacher offering both one-to-one and Skype lessons covering everything from technique to music theory.
